Celebrating 25 years of marriage is a special moment on its own, but one couple will have an anniversary that's a memorable, sky-high event.
Couples
marking their 25th anniversary who want to renew their
wedding vows can enter a drawing to do just that —
while gliding through the sky in a hot-air balloon.
The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, in
association with PNC Bank, is offering the free balloon
ride and a bottle of champagne as part of the festival's
celebration of its 25th birthday.
The festival takes place July 27 through 29 at Solberg Airport in Readington in Hunterdon County. The winning couple will renew their vows in a hot-air balloon during the festival.
"Floating in the sky in a hot-air balloon, much like marriage, is truly a magic carpet ride," says Howard Freeman, executive producer of the festival, in a release.
The festival will include five mass hot-air balloon ascensions; fireworks; amusement rides; arts and crafts exhibits; food vendors; and performances by Chuck Negron, former lead singer of Three Dog Night; Blues Traveler and Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Up to 125 sport and special-shaped balloons will be at the festival.
The deadline to enter the drawing is June 30. Entrants must send their names, address, phone number, e-mail address and date of their anniversary to information@balloonfestival.com or to The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, 363 Route 46 West, Suite 200, Fairfield, NJ 07004.
The winning couple must furnish a copy of their marriage certificate and help publicize the festival.
